About Joey
I graduated from the University of New Haven in 2015 with a bachelorÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s degree in Art. I continued my education at Western Connecticut State University and earned a masterÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s of fine arts degree in Visual Arts and Painting.
During my time as an undergraduate student at the University of New Haven, I worked as an intern at the Seton Gallery on campus. I was able to exhibit my artwork regularly at juried shows at the University and throughout the New Haven community. I also spent time at the UniversityÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s satellite campus in Prato, Italy. This experience provided the opportunity to completely immerse myself in historical art while living and studying in the Tuscany region. Upon returning stateside, I became a member of the Society for Experiential Education. I also received an Excellence in Studio Art award and currently have my artwork included in the UniversityÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s permanent collection.
See MoreWhile attending graduate school, I became interested in the inner workings of higher education institutions. I worked as a graduate assistant in two studio art classes and enjoyed assisting students in their artistic and academic growth. Similarly, I spent a few years working closely with Girls, Inc. ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ“ a nonprofit organization. I am passionate about helping students find the path toward leading a purposeful life. The diverse and ardent faculty and staff, paired with innovative and immersive course offerings and degree programs make the University of New Haven a great place to start your college career.
I look forward to meeting with you and your family to guide you through the admissions process!
