About Bruce

In the 1980Ӱԭs and 90Ӱԭs, Bruce Barber was the co-host of the popular ӰԭSmith and Barber the Morning ShowӰԭ on WPLR-FM in New Haven.

In the years that followed, Bruce built a home studio, taught himself digital audio production, and became an independent host and producer for Connecticut Public Radio.

Bruce joined the University of New Haven in 2016, where he is a professional in residence and the general manager of 88.7 WNHU, the UniversityӰԭs award-winning radio station.

Bruce oversees more than 100 students interested in broadcasting, podcasting and the radio business, and also mentors students individually by offering independent studies in the creation and marketing of audio media content.
