Matt Caporale is the Executive Director of Career Development at the University of New Haven, where he brings over 13 years experience in the field of career development with a strong track record of building and improving programs at colleges and universities. He has served in higher education roles such as Director of Career Services at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina; and as the Assistant Director of Internships & Career Programs at Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. Previously held positions also include Staffing Manager with Robert Half International, Inc and Resume Writer/Career Consultant with CP Resumes, Inc in Charlotte, North Carolina. His approach to career development is focused on combining individual self discovery with experiential learning, in a fun, teaching environment. He believes in teaching students how to conduct a personal assessment, explore potential options, and to manage their own career as a life-long skill.
Matt is a devoted husband to his wife Laura, and a proud father of his daughter Elise. He is an avid sports fan (Yankees!), enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, writing, and cooking. He grew up in Schenectady, NY, spent 13 years in Charlotte, NC, and now resides in New Haven, CT.
