About Steven

Steven M. Sherman entered the law enforcement profession in 1977 and spent nearly 10 years as a law enforcement officer in police departments in Connecticut (Glastonbury, PD) and Virginia (Norfolk, PD). He began his career with the Central Intelligence Agency [CIA] in 1987, and retired from the CIA in December 2009, after 23 years of conducting worldwide Counter-Terrorism [CT] Investigations and CT Intelligence Operations. Steven Sherman spent a good portion of his career with the CIA working in, Afghanistan, East and West Africa, the Middle East, and the Balkans.

Steven M. Sherman is the former owner of Lookout Investigations, LLC, a private investigations company in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was one of the founding members of HumIn2-T, which specialized in training law enforcement personnel (internationally and domestically) in Counter-Human Trafficking Investigations and Intelligence Collection. Most recently, Steven Sherman participated in training the Lafayette Parish, LA., Human Trafficking Task Force. Steven Sherman has lectured at numerous universities, colleges, and community organization on intelligence issues.
