Exceeding the Challenge: Shaping the Next 100 Years
Since the public launch of the Charger Challenge in 2016, we have raised more than $167 million, far exceeding our goal of raising $100 million in honor of our Centennial year.
Signature successes of the campaign include:
- Creating the Bergami Center for Science, Technology, and Innovation, made possible by a leadership gift from Sam and Lois Bergami
- Receiving the largest gift in the UniversityÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s history from Charles E. Pompea ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™71, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™90 EMBA, his wife, Tamera, and the Pompea family, leading to the dedication of the Pompea College of Business
- Fortifying the foundation for transitioning our athletics program to Division I, highlighted by the commitment of David Peterson Jr. ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ˜88, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ˜17 HON. to fund the establishment of the Peterson Performance Center
- Increasing significantly the amount of financial aid awarded to our students
