A home for the Pompea College of Business, the University of New Haven Orange Campus is bordered by more than 300 acres of beautifully preserved forest land, and offers modern classroom and study spaces situated in an invigorating natural environment.

The campus offers business-style amenities, including parking and food service, and the room to spread out for collaborative and individual study. Purchase of the 70,000-square-foot facility on 47 acres in Orange, Connecticut, was underwritten by gifts from two prominent alumni who received advanced degrees from the Pompea College of BusinessÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ”Charles Pompea '71, '90 EMBA and Samuel Bergami Jr. '85 EMBA.

The Accounting, Finance, Executive MBA, MBA, Sport Management and Taxation classes in the Pompea College of Business are being offered exclusively at the Orange Campus.

Your Guide to the Orange Campus
  • Like those at our West Haven Campus, all of the classrooms in Orange are smart-technology enabled. Students have access to multiple print stations and two laptop carts with 20 units in each. There is also a computer lab with 10 Dell PCs. Of course, the entire building has wifi.

  • The Orange Café provides a variety of food and beverage choices for students.

  • The Office of Graduate Student Services collaborates with many departments on campus and the Graduate Student Council to provide orientations, workshops, and social opportunities that are convenient for graduate students.   • All persons who will possess or operate a vehicle on the Orange Campus are required to display a valid University of New Haven parking permit on their vehicle. Parking permits for the West Haven Campus and Orange Campus are the same, so you will not need a different permit if you already have one. Click here for more information on parking.

  • Shuttle service from the West Haven Campus is available.

    Please note that the shuttle schedules are based on normal traffic and weather conditions and can be affected by situations beyond the University's control.

  • There is no smoking allowed on any University of New Haven campuses.

  • The Orange Campus has facilities staff on site to address all matters related to the physical plant, including heating and cooling, general maintenance, custodial and grounds. When issues arise, students may alert on-site staff to submit tickets through the facilities help desk.

  • The safety of students, faculty, staff and the general public is of the utmost importance to the University of New Haven at each of its campus locations.

    The Orange Campus of the University of New Haven has uniformed non-sworn security officers assigned to the campus. Their function is to assist students, faculty, and visitors of the campus with security needs and to assist with emergency procedures and notifications.

    Orange Campus Emergency Response Guidebooks are located in each classroom as well as at the security station.

  • What programs are offered at the University of New Haven Orange Campus?

    The academic course schedule is available online.

    When are the classes offered?

    Most graduate courses are offered during the day, in the evenings, on weekends, and online. The Executive MBA program meets as a cohort every three weeks on Friday evening and Saturday.

    Can I complete my entire degree at the University of New Haven Orange Campus or do I need to take some courses at the Campus in West Haven?

    The MBA, Executive MBA, M.S. Sport Management and M.S. Taxation programs can be completed entirely at the University of New Haven Orange Campus. However, some students may choose to take elective coursework in other programs not currently offered at the University of New Haven Orange Campus, so travel to the West Haven Campus may be necessary.

    Does the University of New Haven offer any online courses?

    Yes. The introductory core courses of the MBA program are online for students who wish to pursue distance study. Online study is not required for these programs. Other courses may be offered in an online or hybrid format at different times; check the academic course schedules for more information.

    What kind of academic advising is available to me?

    All students are provided an academic adviser upon starting a graduate program at the University of New Haven. Additionally, enrollment advisers will be available for you at the Orange Campus to help you with any needs you have.

    Can I pursue an internship while I am studying at the University of New Haven?

    While not required in most programs, students in the Pompea College of Business are welcome to pursue an internship during their studies at the University of New Haven. Internships are required for students pursuing the M.S. in Sport Management degree.

    What kind of job placement is available for graduate students?

    Will my degree or transcript say that I studied at a branch campus?

    No, the degree you earn will be the same as you would earn on the West Haven Campus.

    Graduate student housing is not available on either campus, but the University provides a student housing listing for apartment, condo, and home rental options in the local community.

  • How do I apply?

    What are the admission requirements?

    For the MBA and M.S. Sport Management program:

    • To be considered for admission, students must submit an application, two letters of recommendation, all official college transcripts, standardized test scores from the GMAT or GRE, and a resume. A personal statement is optional.

    • Executive MBA candidates must submit an application, two letters of recommendation, all official college transcripts, a personal essay, statement of organizational support, organizational chart, and a resume. A personal interview with an academic advisor is also required.

    What is the application deadline?

    Applications for programs at the University of New Haven Orange Campus are accepted on a rolling basis. Terms begin in September, January, and April, along with an abbreviated summer term beginning in July. The Executive MBA program generally offers a new cohort beginning in September each year.

  • What activities are available to University of New Haven graduate students outside of class?

    Students will be able to take advantage of professional development and social opportunities with the Pompea College of Business, Graduate Student Services, Career Development Office, Graduate Student Council, International Student Association and other University groups.

    Are there student clubs and organizations for graduate students?

    Yes. There are several different student clubs and organization for graduate students to be involved in. The Graduate Student Council is our largest graduate student organization and provides students with a variety of social and professional development opportunities. The International Student Association provides great opportunities for our international students to interact and showcase their individual cultures.     For our M.S. Sport Management students, the Sports Industry Club offers opportunities to meet with industry executives, tour professional sports facilities, and more.

    If I take my classes at the University of New Haven Orange Campus, will I really be a part of the University of New Haven community?

    Absolutely. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of all of the events and facilities on both the University of New Haven Orange Campus and the campus in West Haven. You will even have access to use the Beckerman Recreation Center in West Haven, which is open seven days a week and offers basketball and racquetball courts, a walking track, weight and elliptical facilities, free fitness classes, and more.
