Global Cyber Scholars (GCS) Program at the Connecticut Institute of Technology
Cybersecurity Overview
The University of New Haven has established itself as a national and international leader in cybersecurity digital forensics research and education. The University was designated by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations, one of 21 in the United States. We boast state of the art laboratories, the Samuel S. Bergami Jr. Cybersecurity Center, and our hacking team rivals the nation's best.
Global Cyber Scholars
We care deeply about cybersecurity, and we produce students that work at many government agencies in the United States. We understand the shortage and the need for deeply technical cybersecurity talent and digital forensics skills worldwide, thus, we would like help in Securing the Future of not only the United States, but worldwide. The goal of this scholarship program is to support individuals and organizations that protect the global critical infrastructure through their work in Cybersecurity. We want to support worthy students from around the world who work in these areas and are interested in earning the Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Networks at the University of New Haven.
We offer our students in law enforcement and other critical infrastructure areas worldwide to gain a stronger education through a pursuit of a masterÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s degree, and research opportunities at a top program.
Three distinct categories exist under the GSC program targeting individuals in law enforcement, critical infrastructure, and government.
- Law Enforcement Authority (LEA) Cyber Scholars: These are individuals that work for any national or international law enforcement agency with a B.S. degree.

Critical Infrastructure (CI) Cyber Scholars: These are individuals that work for any critical infrastructure organizations, be it public or private. This program is open for individuals that work in the following domains:
- Chemical
- Commercial Facilities
- Communications
- Critical Manufacturing
- Dams
- Defense Industrial Base
- Emergency Services
- Energy
- Financial Services
- Food and Agriculture
- Government Facilities
- Healthcare and Public Health
- Information Technology
- Nuclear Reactors, Material, and Waste
- Transportation Systems
- Water and Wastewater Systems
- Government Cyber Scholars (GCS): These are individuals that work for any government agency.
- Not-For-Profit Cyber Scholar (NCS): These are individuals that work for not-for-profits.
Our Program
Students that receive the scholarship will be recommended through their employer once they apply to our MS program in Cybersecurity and Networks.
Our MS in Cybersecurity and Networks program affords anyone with any BachelorÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s degree, even if their degree is not in computing, to enter our program by taking up to four "bridge", waivable, courses. The courses are in programming, operating systems, and networks, that are designed to efficiently fill in the studentsÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™ technical gaps with only a few additional credits.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students with a BachelorÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s degree
- Students that can illustrate they would be a good fit for one of our scholarship programs (1) LEA Cyber Scholars, (2) CI Cyber Scholars, (3) GCS Cyber Scholars, and (4) NCS Cyber Scholars.
- Students will have to be enrolled in our program under fulltime status.
Award Levels (25% - 33%)
Based on the strength and merit of each applicant, the students can receive anywhere between a 25%-33% scholarship on tuition. Living expenses and stipends are not part of this scholarship program.
