Black And Latino Alumni Weekend:
April 24-27, 2025
The Black and Latino Alumni Weekend (BLAW) started in 2009 to invite alumni back to campus. During this weekend, alums and current students participated in various events sponsored by the UniversityÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s multicultural recognized student organizations (RSOs).
Due to the popularity of the weekend and the increase in the participation of our Multicultural Recognized Student Organizations, BLAW has since expanded beyond the weekend, with events beginning Thursday, April 24.

Mx. Pride Drag & Cosplay Extravaganza
7 - 9 p.m.
Location:
The Mx. Pride Drag & Cosplay Extravangza is a student pageant where contestants compete in dress categories and talents to win to be the MX. PRIDE champion. The host will be a contestant on RuPaul's drag race and guest host/performers will be local drag performers.

Carne Asada

Location: Gerber/Bixler Quad
LASA's Carne Asada is an annual event hosted as part of UNH's Black and Latino Alumni Weekend. A Carne Asada is a latino family cookout full of traditional food, music, games, favors, and more. This event is a celebration of Latino community and culture and like true Latino culture, it is open to everyone.
Annual Fashion Show
6 - 10 p.m.
Location:
CSA hosts an annual fashion show that highlights the various Carribean cultures, through music, clothing, and an annual theme. Designers are picked throughout the tri-state area, and student models walk in the show, all highlighting Caribbean culture!

19th Annual Stroll Show
12 - 2 p.m.
Location:
Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Incorporada hosts an annual stroll show that highlights Greek unity through strolls and performances by multiple Greek Letter Organizations.
Black Student Union: Sankofa Ball
7 - 11 p.m.
Location:
Tickets are $5 for University of New Haven students and $35 for faculty, staff, and alumni. The Sankofa Ball is an event to highlight the hard work of the Black Student Union throughout the year. It also stands as an opportunity for other Multicultural RSO's to demonstrate their acccomplishments and provides a space for active university members and alumni to come together in celebration.

Come and join Monsoon Dance Crew in celebrating students and organizations in the arts! The event is free, no ticket is required.
Tales from Dreamland
7:30 - 10 p.m.
Location: Bucknall Theater
The Miss Majorettes will host our annual spring showcase that highlights different dance styles of not only the Majorettes organization, but features other multicultural dance organizations on campus. Tickets will be available through Eventbrite.
