Meet the Military & Veteran Affairs Team
The Military & Veteran Affairs Team consists of full-time staff, part time student employees, and VA Work Study students whose aim is to assist and support the student veteran population both on and off campus. The team advises, guides, and supports the Military & Veteran community at the University and is available to assist at a momentÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ™s notice to address the needs and concerns of this unique population.

My name is Ryan, the Manager of Military & Veteran affairs. I am a Marine Corps veteran and served 4 years as a Diesel Mechanic, Combat Marksmanship Coach, and Regimental Color Sergeant with two deployments to Iraq in 2007 and 2009. I assist student veterans, military affiliated families, active-duty service members, reservists, and National Guardsmen during the application process through graduation. I serve as their Military & Veteran Advisor and Co-Chair of the Veterans Advisory Board and I can assist these students on a variety of issues and concerns ranging from VA education benefits, general advising, registration, and directing students to resources and support services.

VA Work Study Team
Our VA Work Study Students assist in the duties of the Military & Veteran Services Team and act as liaisons for the student population and our Services Team. Each Work Study student is hand-picked and utilized to their strengths to better serve the student veteran community. Duties include Operations, Outreach, Special Projects, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, Student Veteran Transition.
Military Veterans of the University of New Haven
A recognized chapter of the Student Veterans of America (SVA) organization, the organization holds weekly meetings addressing military/veteran issues and planning University events and community outreach.
